Measuring the brain activity in pilots and air traffic controller: the BrainWorkloadReader (BWR)
简介：The presentation will show the capability of measuring and real-time monitoring the cerebral workload of commercial and military pilots, during their training inside full motion flight simulators, and of Air Traffic Controllers (ATCos) during air-traffic-management (ATM) tasks. The scientific methodology and the successful tests of the past three years made concrete the possibility to design and to develop an ergonomic and real-time Brain Workload Reader device (BWR), able to evaluate the mental efforts and the mental state of the users operating in extreme operational environments (e.g. Pilots and ATCos) during their training or their working duties. Up to now, such a device does not exist and, if realized, it could increase significantly the safety level of the activities performed by those operators in the transport domains. It is important to note that there are no well performing devices such this available on the market, and if it could be well introduced in the transport systems (e.g. training school, flight simulator, etc), it would be the first prototype of a future family of similar devices for the applications on different operational fields.
Fabio Babiloni 1961出生，获罗马大学电子工程硕士和芬兰赫尔辛基大学计算工程博士学位。现为意大利罗马大学教授兼脑机接口实验室主任，担任IEEE 医学信号处理委员会的主席，曾任欧盟第六、七框架计划脑机接口小组召集人，美国国家自然基金评审专家。现承担欧盟地平线2020科研计划项目、意大利外交部中意政府间协议科研项目，意大利国防部科研项目多项。发表论文120余篇，他引2500余次。担任IEEE Trans. On Biomedical Engineering, IEEE Trans. On Neural System and Rehabilitation Engineering, Clinical Neurophysiology, Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience四个国际SCI期刊的副主编. Babiloni教授同时也是我校人机物联技术浙江国际科技合作基地的核心海**家。
